A Torrance-based women’s soccer club went pink this fall to spread breast cancer awareness. Active on social media, they encourage women to take control of their health and join the fight against breast cancer. Not only is the team bringing awareness to the South Bay, but also giving back financially. For each goal scored at their ‘Kick for a Cure’ games $5 is donated plus pledged amounts. Through donations, product sales, local partnerships and games the Salsa Women’s Soccer Club has raised $1,024!

This November, players attended the Hunt Cancer Center Community Open House where the generous donation was presented to our Cancer Care team. A soccer goal was also set up at the event so members of the community could have their own shot at kicking for a cure. Torrance Memorial appreciates the Salsa Women’s Soccer Club and their dedicated support!
